Originally the MM crew was headed down to sunset station to sample the margaritas at Aldaco’s. Unfortunately for them they close early on Monday’s so we’ve been happily rerouted to Rosario’s! Not a new stop on our list but certainly an enjoyable one. Go down to the location on Southtown and grab some street tacos and a La Flaca ‘rita.

A few short miles out Boerne Stage Rd you will find the hidden gem that is the Scenic Loop Cafe. Even in November you can enjoy the patio here and sip on a few margaritas. One unique thing that are regulars really liked was the “build your own ” feature that the margarita menu employs. Choose your tequila and flavor additions. Scenic Loop features an extensive dinner menu along with weekend brunch that you will have to go and try yourself.

The Margarita Monday gang is back for antother episode and this time were at the original Mama Margie’s on Zarzamora. If you have been following then you know that we are no strangers to Mama Margie’s but we rarely get out to the original. This month we had to make an exception and make the drive out early to enjoy their all day happy hour and strong margaritas. a Solid 4.5 out of 5 limes at any of their locations, Mama Margie’s is a must try!

Hello, and welcome to another episode of Margarita Monday! For this September edition of MM wee settled down at a spot just off 1604. Don’t be overwhelmed by the sheer size of the ‘rita here or the fact that your glass might have 2 Coronitas staked upside down. The blends they use over at Del Fuego’s are concocted in such a way that the beer is actually complimenting it instead of just being a gimmick. Del Fuego’s has Classic Mexican dishes as well as our Tex-Mex Favorites that way everyone can find their favorite. Check ’em out.

Sol Luna, a sister restaurant of El Mirasol has a classical menu with a Texan twist. The Chispa margarita was our go-to here and we really enjoyed it. At 4.25 out of 5 limes you will have to see for yourself why we keep singing this places’ praises.

Tonight were down in San Antonio’s So Flo area at The Fruteria by chef Johnny Hernandez. For those of you who don’t know Chef Johnny or the So Flo area you have got to get out from underneath that rock. South Flores is an awesome part of the greater downtown where First Friday and a great farmers market take place. And Chef Johnny is the master mind being restaurants like La Gloria and El Machido. Go take the next first friday of the month and unwind in SoFlo.
