This week its all about Chacho’s! Becoming a household name in San Antonio this casual restaurant and cantina will fill you up and keep you under budget. Our favorites of the night have to be the ” Frozen Jack & Coke” and the Strawberry margarita swirl. If you’re a whiskey and soda drinker then this frozen take on a classic is right up your alley. The balance of sweet and tangy with the strawberry margarita swirl is an icy harmony. The menu goes on and on but you will have to find that out on your own.

This week we headed to San Antonio’s newest “hot spot” Southtown. Full of good food and nightlife this area near downtown will not disappoint you on a Friday night. Rosario’s Mexican Cafe y Cantina is the fool proof place to get your night started. We ventured out of the normal “house” margaritas and dared to try the “La Tuna” with prickly pear cactus juice and the “La Pina” with grilled jalapeño and pineapple. Muy delicioso! Get out there and go try it for yourself!

This is Margarita Monday’s biggest outcome yet! About 45 people came this time – we give credit to Scott J for helping us pick a popular local Mexican restaurant, La Posada del Rey. The margaritas were terrific and the appetizers were outstanding. The Skinny Girl Margarita was by far the most popular because of its recipe. This is the 16th Margarita Monday and we expect them to keep coming!

Join us at La Hacienda de Los Barrios on Redland Rd for the best ratings we’ve given margaritas thus far! Five limes were passed out by each person as if they were about to expire! The strawberry mango margaritas (called the Senorita) are some of the best alcoholic drinks in town. Add a drop of lime and they will capture your soul.

It’s Monday again and we’re at Perico’s on the north side of Loop 1604 on Sonterra Blvd. Come taste the brilliant margaritas that top off our exciting Monday adventure.
