We make it back for seconds to La Hacienda de los Barrios off Redland Rd. where we take on La Senorita Margarita again. A strawberry mango blend, it still is ranked among the highest rated margaritas we’ve tried. Please come have a taste at the famous second Los Barrios restaurant that everyone knows about! Not even Bobby Flay can beat these puffy tacos!

We finally make our way to Chuy’s, a popular Mexican food restaurant with great food and outstanding prices. We find ourselves racing back to the free nachos cart that literally sits in the trunk of a classic automobile. Their happy hour is from 6-7 and the $3.75 mixed margaritas was definitely worth the visit by itself. We throw out a couple of high ratings for these vibrant drinks.

The bean and cheese tacos at this place are some of the best in town. Here at Mama Margie’s Happy Hour goes daily until 10pm. and when we heard that we had to make it a stop on our long list of local joints to check out.  You don’t need to search long to find the 3.99 Top shelf margarita or Pina colada during HH. The perfect way to wash down some of those spicy Mexican nachos amongst great friends.

Happy New Year viewers! In 2012 we kick off Margarita Monday at Taco Garage off Broadway! We enjoyed a Taco Garage special original, the “V-12” Sampler with 12 different  house made margaritas. The crowd could not decide on just one favorite so I gee you’ll have to check it out for your self. Overall, we give it a 4.5 out of 5 limes.

Dulce Vida a new establishment on Blanco rd in the stone oak area has attracted a lot of attention with their authentic Mexican cuisine and their classic margaritas. If you live in the area I encourage to grab a margarita or mojito on your bumper to bumper drive home.
